Nigeria has received vital military equipment from the United States to support ongoing security operations, according to the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM).
According to AFRICOM “U.S. forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja. This delivery supports Nigeria’s ongoing operations and emphasizes our shared security partnership.”
The delivery is a component of continuous initiatives to improve the two nations’ bilateral security cooperation.
To explore new opportunities for collaboration, the Federal Government sent a delegation to the United States in November 2025.
Insecurity has increased recently in Nigeria, with hundreds of individuals being abducted and towns being attacked and destroyed.
