After losing to Manchester City in the League Cup (Carabao Cup) final and being eliminated by Southampton in the FA Cup semifinal, Arsenal’s hopes of winning a quadruple (Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup) were dashed.

They defeated Sporting 1-0 in the first leg on Tuesday, April 7, to secure an advantage in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. Arsenal defeated Sporting 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal thanks to a stoppage-time goal from substitute Kai Havertz at Estadio Jose Alvalade stadium in Lisbon, Portugal.

Arsenal has a very good chance of winning the Premier League. With seven games remaining, they lead the standings by nine points, while City, who are in second place, still has a game left.
Mikel Arteta is confident that Arsenal can withstand the increasing strain of seeking to win the Champions League for the first time while hoping to finally lift the Premier League trophy after a 22-year wait. Arsenal has not won a trophy since the 2020 FA Cup.
With a revitalized Manchester City behind them, the Gunners will need to win four of the seven games to secure the Premier League title.
