Chibuike Amaechi, a former minister of transportation, has been chosen by former vice president and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to lead his campaign organization.

This occurred one day after Atiku declared Amaechi his running mate for the 2027 presidential contest and weeks after defeating the former Minister in the ADC presidential primaries.

Chibuike Amaechi’s experience in a comparable role, delivering Buhari in the historic defeat of an incumbent, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, in the 2015 poll, made him a contender to lead Atiku’s campaigns.

As Director-General for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in both the 2015 and 2019 general elections, Amaechi spearheaded President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaigns.

The former minister takes great satisfaction in having installed the late Muhammadu Buhari as president in both 2015 and 2019.

In an interview, Amaechi officially refuted President Bola Tinubu’s persistent claims that he was the only one who helped Buhari become president. Amaechi claimed to have fought tirelessly to secure Buhari’s election by organizing votes across the country.

Will Amaechi be able to accomplish the same thing in 2027?
