The United States (US) government has concluded measures to deport 79 Nigerians presently residing in that nation. The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) made the announcement.

According to the DHS, the impacted Nigerians were convicted of numerous offences, including fraud, drug trafficking, assault, homicide, robbery, and organized international cybercrime

The individuals were reportedly apprehended as part of a greater crackdown on criminal immigrants by U.S. officials. DHS reported that the arrests were carried out by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as part of ongoing efforts to remove individuals with substantial criminal records from the nation.

The US Department of Homeland Security recognized the worst of the worst foreign criminal elements captured by ICE.
