• Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, has asked for players who cover their mouths during on-field altercations to be dismissed because it should be assumed that they have spoken something they “shouldn’t have.”
• Rugby League: After winning the World Club Challenge, the Robins were given a reality check as the Leeds Rhinos scored ten tries in a spectacular performance in Las Vegas. At halftime, the Rhinos led 28-0 as they ran wild; Maika Sivo scored four tries as Hull KR were crushed. Cricket League: In their most recent Super 8s encounter, India defeated the West Indies by five wickets, securing a semi-final spot and eliminating their opponents from the T20 World Cup.
• Defender Telasco Segovia added a goal and two assists, Lionel Messi scored twice in a four-goal second half, and defending champion Inter Miami CF came back to defeat Orlando City SC 4-2 on Sunday night, their first victory at Inter&Co.
• Getafe shocked Real Madrid with a 1-0 victory at the Bernabeu thanks to a spectacular first-half goal from Martín Satriano, which caused Real Madrid to lose more position at the top of La Liga. Just before halftime, Satriano stunned the home crowd by crashing a volley into the top corner after absorbing a lot of pressure.
• According to Daniel Farke, it’s unlikely that the Ramadan fast break was the cause of the jeering from some Leeds United supporters during their match versus Manchester City.
• Following a pause in play against City to give their Muslim players a chance to break their Ramadan fast, Leeds supporters erupted in long-lasting jeering.
• Jurriň Timber is adamant that Arsenal will deal with the anxiety issues that are endangering their chances of winning the Premier League.
• Arsenal restored their five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the standings on Sunday by defeating Chelsea 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
• After Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior claimed he was subjected to racial abuse by Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni during their Champions League playoff first leg, Infantino, the president of FIFA, called for players who cover their mouths during on-field altercations to be sent off because there should be a presumption that they have said something they “shouldn’t have.”
