Mrs. Patience Ozokwor aka: Mama G is a multi-talented Nollywood actress. Born on September 14, 1958, she hails from Ngwo Village in Enugu State. Before joining the movie industry, she worked as a teacher, broadcaster, and owner of a fashion institute. Mrs. Ozokwor attended Girls Secondary School, Ngwo, Teachers Training College, Afikpo, and IMT, Enugu. At IMT, she studied Fine and Applied Arts and specialised in Graphics.
She joined the entertainment industry in the early 2000s and has since become an accomplished, all-round, and exceptionally endowed actress. Ozokwor has made tremendous contributions to the development of the Nigerian entertainment industry. Mama G, as she is popularly called, or Mother Africa, as some people her, has acted in over 200 movies. Apart from acting she has also excelled as a gifted and well-endowed musician. The Iron Lady of Nollywood has several awards to her credit, including the Best Support Actress award at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards. She was one of the 100 Nigerians honoured by President Goodluck Jonathan with an award at the Nigerian Centenary celebration. Ozokwor won the Industry Merit Awards category of the 2023 programme of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA9).
