President Bola Tinubu stated in his budget presentation that no country can advance beyond the caliber of its citizens, and that education and health are essential for developing human capital. In this context, the Federal Government (FG) is working to increase vulnerable populations’ nationwide access to healthcare.
As part of the N2.48 trillion allotted to the health sector in the 2026 proposed budget, the FG has proposed N42.18 billion to provide healthcare services for 10 million vulnerable Nigerians.
The money is set aside for the purchase of medications, test kits, lab and medical equipment, and other necessities.
